Integrated Storytelling & Public Engagement

Orlando Police
Department Headquarters

The Orlando Police Department Headquarters was featured on the cover of ABC Central Florida’s periodical publication, “Building Central Florida” upon completion of the project.

I wrote the article and was in charge of creative direction for the photography and article details.

This project represents the best of what I do: long-term, highly creative, multi-layered storytelling built on trust, strategy, and deep personal investment.

I supported the Orlando Police Department’s new headquarters from groundbreaking through grand opening, developing a 360-degree communications and storytelling program around the project’s full lifecycle.

Rather than working around the project from a distance, I became closely integrated with the team so I could understand the schedule, anticipate milestones, recognize emerging stories, and identify creative opportunities while they were still happening. That proximity allowed me to coordinate photography and video around key construction moments, develop media and editorial opportunities, create tours and community experiences, support public relations and stakeholder communications, and build a visual asset library that could continue serving the project and contractor long after construction was complete.

My involvement spanned public relations, community engagement, photography & drone video, direction, events, jobsite branding, media outreach, awards, stakeholder tours, educational programming, and the grand opening itself. The result was not a single campaign, but an integrated storytelling system that turned a major civic project into an ongoing source of content, connection, visibility, and long-term brand value.
